Cooling Off - Spring Lake

We were out walking some of the Spring Lake trails when we happened on a woman walking her horse. It was getting to be latter morning and the shadows were mostly straight down.

Lavender Umbrella

This was painted at a local winery in the Sonoma area. It was a lovely day, not too warm and just a hint of sun later in the morning.

Before the Swim

We went to Spring Lake to paint and two life guards were out but the cool morning was not encouraging to swimmers. By the time I finished the kids were there and the guards had plenty to do.

Seeing the prep for the day was interesting. They ate cold cereal for breakfast and then went to get some gear that later leaned against the life guard tower. 11x14, oil on canvas board, $250.
