Evening View

Just about sunset, the sky and little creek light up and glow. A touch of light lingers on the trees. It doesn't last long before darkness falls.

This little girl was digging in the sand at the beach. She was totally focused. Oil 8x6 NFS

Golden Pear

For this painting, I chose a color scheme and stayed with it. I wanted to see if I could make almost all the painting in blues and just the center of interest in yellow/orange. It worked pretty well. I'll try something a little different tomorrow.

Tunnel View

We drove up to the tunnel overlook and painted. I think Albert Bierstadt was here before me and did a really serious painting. It is an impressive view.

We had a lovely hint of clouds and warm, dry weather.

Afternoon Sun

We had a great week in yosemite and painted this a mid afternoon so we could see the sun's warmth on half dome.
