Bodega Harbor

It was Monday so I went out to Westside Park and painted. There were only a couple of Monday Morning Painters out today on a cool foggy morning. Maybe they went to find a warm vineyard view. 11x14 acrylic on canvas

Raven in a Tree

This is the next painting in my raven series. I put highlights on the raven and it doesn't look quite as raven like so I'll have to adjust that a bit more.

The Ravens have been fun to paint. 30x24

Salmon Creek Beach

This is from yesterday's paintout. There was a hint of fog left in the north and nice light right in close. It was a beautiful day.

Petaluma Downtown

This is my painting for the Great Petaluma Paint Out, 2008. I was painting from the 4th floor of a parking garage, the perspective was very challenging along with getting some light on this as it was a somewhat foggy morning. The fog burned off late in the day and warmed everything up but I was already well into my foggy painting.

Cloud Scape

This is a made up scene with lots of clouds. I tried to almost loose the trees in the distance and place a forward hill with more saturation, and more orange, yellow hues. This is an 8"x8" canvas panel for $120.

Sonoma County Vines

It was cool and foggy this morning when I went out to paint with a friend, This is what I got. All the pigments were in cools until the very end when I added a touch of warm up front.

This was painted with the help of a 3 year old grandchild. I'll post her work tomorrow. After painting the tree, she wanted to add flowers and grass than the final touch was to add the bird in the tree. I liked the playfulness and we really enjoyed the studio time.

Egret in the Moonlight. With the white feathers, this bird just seemed to glow.
